I started making fluid acrylic art because I was totally enamored with the colors and the fluid, almost dance-like quality of the medium. If you’ve seen it, you know what I mean. I was totally mesmerized by the way colors blended to create intricate patterns with a life of their own. It intrigued me as a form of self-expression, and from the moment I started, I was hooked.
One of the signatures of my style is the deliberate use of negative space. Negative space in my work isn’t a passive result, but a carefully considered aspect of the overall composition. I love the juxtaposition of dynamic color amid the stillness of untouched space.
